Description

Hey!مرحبا! is an artwork about depression, examining depression as an act of hyper-subjectivity and the inability to feel the relative insignificance of the human being in the grand scheme of the universe. By feeling unconnected to the world, one becomes lost in their own thoughts — so the act of taking photos becomes an act of defiance, a way of seeing value in the outside world and feeling connected to it once again. The artwork is a series of photographs taken between the years 2023–2025, spontaneously and unprepared, in random places indoors and outdoors, then collected retroactively to make this artwork.
